This summer, from May to September 2026, the Hôtel de Crillon in Paris is getting a makeover. The famous luxury hotel on the Place de la Concorde is being transformed into a large garden to offer culinary delights and unique experiences.

Tea Time: A collaboration between a pastry chef and a perfume designer

The big new feature can be found in the Cour d’Honneur. Pastry Chef Matthieu Carlin and Sonia Godet, from Maison Godet, have collaborated to create a special perfume called ‘Un Jour à Paris’. But the story doesn’t end there: the Head Pastry Chef has transformed the scents of this fragrance into three magnificent cakes:

  • The top note: a fresh cake with a lime blossom flavour.
  • The heart note: a light, airy cake with a neroli (orange blossom) flavour.
  • The base note: a sweet, warm cake with a tonka bean flavour.

This chic afternoon tea is served on pretty plates from Maison Gien. You can also enjoy savoury recipes from the South, such as lobster bread or a salmon tartlet, all accompanied by floral teas.

Ice creams, hidden terraces and refreshing cocktails

Le Crillon offers other perfect spots to soak up the sun:

  • La Cabane à Pâtisseries glacées: situated right in front of the hotel. Here you can buy original ice creams inspired by the Chef’s cakes, such as the Paris-Brest or the lemon tart, accompanied by a delicious iced tea.
  • La Terrasse Comestibles by Paul Pairet: a relaxed terrace where you can share some burrata, hummus or a tasty sandwich with friends, whilst watching the big summer sports matches.
  • L’Herbier Secret by Alan Taudon: a very secret dining spot tucked away on the second floor. There is just one table for four people per evening, from Thursday to Saturday. The chef prepares a five-course surprise meal centred around vegetables and seafood.

Finally, to round off the day, the Terrasse Concorde offers iced cocktails that are perfect for cooling down, such as the Tuileries Basil Smash with lemon and basil. A real holiday moment right in the heart of Paris!
