Balcon, the new rooftop bistro at Galeries Lafayette Haussmann
A declaration of love for the bistro
The restaurant’s name is a nod to the small, decidedly Parisian zinc and wrought-iron balcony, but also refers to the roof terrace of the
Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann and its unique panoramic view. A true tribute to the French bistro, that quintessential French institution, featuring much-loved dishes with a signature twist.
The menu features generous, seasonal cuisine that showcases French classics with a modern twist: devilled eggs with black garlic, leeks in elderflower vinaigrette, or beef skirt steak with pepper sauce.

‘Good Mood’ dishes with a summery feel
Freshness and tang set the tone for a series of dishes designed to be savoured on a rooftop all summer long. We particularly love the combination of blueberries and gravlax, the use of Greek yoghurt, and the hints of tarragon.
True to Julien’s passion for plant-based cuisine, seasonal produce takes centre stageB :B asparagus, peas, home-style ratatouille, heirloom tomatoes… all ingredients that truly celebrate summer.
A friendly, canteen-style atmosphere with a view
The nostalgic, indulgent spirit is evident in dishes such as truffle and Parmesan coquillettes, or the absolutely irresistible chocolate and pistachio profiteroles.

Julien Sebbag is a self-taught chef who has been working in the industry for around ten years, influenced by his extensive travels. His trademark is a style of cooking that is sincere, sensitive and thoughtful, which he strives to convey through his recipes.
“At Balcon, I had the idea of creating a haven above the urban chaos, to see the beauty of Paris from a new perspective. I’m
in love with this view, and I love neighbourhood bistros so much that I imagined one – perched a little high up – in my own image.”
