Cirque du Soleil – Alegría, A New Day
Cirque du Soleil returns to Paris from 21 November to 19 December 2025 under the Big Top in Chatou, with Alegría – Un Nouveau Jour, a contemporary reinterpretation of its iconic show. Created in 1994 by Franco Dragone, Alegría has made its mark on the history of modern circus with more than 17 million spectators worldwide. This new version, launched in 2019 for the 25th anniversary of the original show, retains the essence and emotions of the show while renewing the staging, acrobatics, costumes, music and sets.
The show immerses the audience in a baroque and surreal universe, combining spectacular acrobatics, unforgettable melodies, whimsical characters and mischievous humour. It tells the story of the struggle between an established order and a movement for renewal in an abandoned kingdom where hope and joy seek to be reborn.
Performed by 55 artists (acrobats, musicians, singers and clowns), Alegría – A New Day has already won over more than 3 million spectators since its world premiere, with performances in Canada, the United States, Asia and Europe.
Advance sales are now open for Cirque Club members, and tickets will go on sale to the general public on 29 November at 10 a.m. at https://www.cirquedusoleil.com/fr/alegria.
Cirque du Soleil, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary, continues to innovate in the field of live entertainment with more than 400 million spectators in 86 countries.
