28th edition of Art Paris : a very positive outcome
The 2026 edition of Art Paris, the unmissable event for modern and contemporary art, attracted a record 87,275 visitors this spring (compared with 86,975 in 2025). It was a wonderful event that took place in a joyful and vibrant atmosphere.
This 28th edition featured a packed programme bringing together 165 exhibitors from 20 countries and highlighted two thematic sections: ‘Babel, Art and Language in France’, curated by Loïc Le Gall, and ‘Reparation’, conceived by Alexia Fabre.
The “Promesses” section gave pride of place to emerging talent, showcasing 27 young galleries, whilst the French Design Art Edition space championed contemporary design with 18 exhibitors (galleries, architectural studios and designers), not to mention Solo Show, featuring 24 solo exhibitions scattered throughout the fair.
Finally, a dozen or so talks, installations and exhibitions also rounded off this selection. Fabrice Hyber’s monumental TED’HYBER installations left their mark on this new edition by welcoming visitors to the Grand Palais in a most unusual way.
Focus on the French Design Art Edition section, which brought together some 18 exhibitors.
With nearly 88,000 visitors, this sector confirmed its standing within the Art Paris contemporary art fair.
Exhibitors stood out with exceptional pieces that led to some excellent sales.
Awards ceremonies punctuated the fair, notably with the 4th edition of the Prix Le FRENCH DESIGN 100, which recognised the 100 interior architecture and design projects that promote French creativity internationally. On this occasion, the renowned interior architect and designer India Mahdavi was notably honoured.
