Printemps Haussmann celebrates the art of the shoe
From 9 September to 28 October 2026, Printemps Haussmann is putting shoes in the spotlight with ‘Pas à Pas: shoes from every angle’. Under the Wybo Dome, shoes are revealed as true works of art, blending heritage, craftsmanship and avant-garde design.
The shoe: an object of desire and creativity
Far more than just an accessory, shoes shape a silhouette and define a look. Across eleven themes, the exhibition explores the many facets of the shoe: from performance to adornment, from transparency to the cult object.
Historic creations, pieces from museum collections and designs by leading fashion houses, including Jean Paul Gaultier and Vivienne Westwood, come together in an exhibition where fashion meets art and design. It offers a chance to rediscover the shoe as an integral part of our creative heritage.
Between heritage and the new generation
Le Printemps is also fostering a dialogue between traditional craftsmanship and emerging talent through its partnership with ESMOD. Thirteen students have reinterpreted SAISON 1865’s iconic moccasin, giving rise to contemporary designs inspired by a timeless model.
