Pastry Chef Nicolas Guercio has created the ‘bûche lumière’ (light log), a sparkling creation combining grapefruit, black tea from Nepal and vanilla from Tahiti, topped with a white chocolate dome that lights up like a small gourmet theatre.
Another delight is the almond-shaped galette des rois, a traditional cake revisited with its puff pastry and frangipane, hiding the ‘Lulu’ bean, the palace’s adorable mascot.
Under the glass roof of the Salon Saint-Germain, the winter Afternoon Tea promises a moment suspended in time: truffles, lobster, Mont-Blanc chestnut and lychee, and the famous ‘Lulu’ marshmallow can be savoured in a golden light.
With its refinement, gourmet cuisine and Parisian spirit, the Lutetia is promising a dazzling festive season.
