From lunch to dinner, the Parisian art of living at Café de la Paix
At Café de la Paix, cuisine follows the rhythm of the day through two complementary experiences.
The lunch weekly menu offers an evolving selection inspired by seasonal produce and Parisian brasserie tradition, for a quick and generous break. In the evening, the Signature Menu invites guests to a more gastronomic experience, where classic dishes and Chef Laurent André’s creations are showcased in a historic setting facing the Palais Garnier.
Between simplicity and culinary refinement, these two offers reflect the identity of Café de la Paix, an elegant and timeless institution.
The Café de la Paix weekly menu composes a seasonal rhythm where brasserie cuisine is expressed with precision, generosity, and elegance.
Starters open this gourmet interlude with refined essentials, from “Mayo” eggs to spring vegetable macédoine, the unique “Café de la Paix” salad, and lemon roast chicken rillette. From Monday to Friday, main courses continue this culinary expression through clear and well-crafted French cuisine, rooted in honest flavours: bavette steak, roast sea bream, “Paris-Toulouse” sausage, pan-fried veal liver, and Norwegian salmon. Desserts extend this lunch moment through the house signatures, including millefeuille, opera, and strawberry tart.
As evening falls, the Signature Menu reveals another facet of Café de la Paix, designed as a more contemplative gastronomic experience. Starters combine tradition and character with the iconic 1862 onion soup or confit duck foie gras, while main courses offer generous cuisine between land and sea (Corsican Sea bass or pan-seared beef tournedos). The experience concludes with signature desserts (millefeuille and chocolate coffee opera), ideally paired with a glass of brut champagne.
