The Mandarin Oriental Lutetia launches its Sunday brunch
A sophisticated take on brunch classics
The generous buffet celebrates breakfast favourites, from sourdough breads to homemade pastries and brioches, complemented by a selection of cold meats, mature cheeses and seasonal salads made with market-fresh produce.
True to the restaurant’s identity, the seafood counter takes centre stage with a selection of carefully sourced produce: Fines de Claire oysters, whelks, pink prawns, tarama served with toasted bread, and smoked salmon.
Among the brunch highlights, eggs Benedict are prepared to order and adapted to the seasons. The signature dishes notably feature a smoked salmon version combining potato blinis, artisanal smoked salmon, salmon roe and dill. In a more Parisian take, truffle ham is served on a soft brioche, accompanied by poached eggs and hollandaise sauce.
The brunch also pays tribute to one of La Brasserie Lutetia’s iconic dishes: the traditional Sunday roast chicken. Alongside this, the menu varies from week to week depending on the chef’s inspiration, offering a choice of meat, fish and a vegetarian option.
The great classics of French patisserie are not to be missed. Parisian flan, Saint-Honoré, Paris-Brest with praline, crêpes and indulgent rice pudding make up this sweet interlude. As for the choux pastries, they can be personalised to suit your taste: everyone chooses their own filling from a selection of signature flavours, enhanced by the pastry chef’s creative touches.
