At Shangri-La Paris, the Bonaparte Dinner offers a unique experience inspired by the grand receptions held within this historic residence at the end of the 19th century. In the former private mansion of Prince Roland Bonaparte, guests are invited to enjoy an exceptional moment where every detail pays tribute to Parisian elegance and the traditions of fine entertainment.
This experience immerses guests in an authentic atmosphere, enhanced by traditional table service and elegant, refined Limoges porcelain, specially designed by the French manufacturer Haviland. The pieces are adorned with imperial symbols: the bee, the eagle, and the crown, also found within the Palace’s historic salons.
From the moment guests arrive, the ceremony unfolds according to period customs: the host is announced with the traditional phrase “Monsieur est servi” and personally opens the doors of the salon to welcome their guests. Guests are then called one by one, announced aloud by the announcer, to join the table.
The waitstaff, dressed in period costumes, uphold the gestures and craftsmanship of French-style service, where dishes are presented on magnificent silver platters before being served to guests.
The dinner begins with an aperitif featuring a glass of Ruinart Blanc de Blancs Champagne, accompanied by a selection of non-alcoholic beverages and fresh fruit juices, as well as five delicately prepared canapés.
The evening continues with a four-course menu served in the French style: a starter, a main course, a second course, and a dessert, created by the Chefs, offering a truly multi-sensory journey.
To enhance this reception, several thoughtful touches are included: elegant floral table arrangements, personalized menu printing and table name cards upon request, as well as a dedicated welcome and cloakroom service to accompany guests from their arrival.
